Bowls Auckland is delighted to unveil its Representative Team Management personnel for the 2025–2026 season.

Building on the successes of last season—and the solid foundations laid by those before them—the refreshed line-up will lead the delivery of the representative programme: identifying talent, providing development opportunities, and preparing teams to perform at their best on the tournament stage.

A key feature of the new structure is a strengthened focus on coaching alongside the traditional selector role, aligning with Bowls Auckland’s Performance Strategy and long-term vision for player and coach development.

Bowls Auckland CEO Dean Bartlett highlighted the value of continuity, progression, and fresh energy in this year’s appointments:

“It’s awesome to see a good balance between new and existing members, and to see coaches progressing through our pathways. Peter Blucher, who began with the 1–5 Year squad, now leads the Open Men’s team, while Lisa Prideaux is begins her coaching journey with the Under 26s. We hope to see more of this in the future—with coaching continuing to be an attractive and rewarding option.”

The Open Women’s team will be led by Trish Croot—a well-known name in the bowls community as both an active player and current Bowls New Zealand High-Performance Selector.

Trish shared her enthusiasm about the appointment:

“Ian and I are excited to be appointed by Bowls Auckland to help create a supportive, high-performance environment for the ladies to pursue excellence in bowls. We can’t wait to get started and see what we can achieve together.”

These changes are possible through the work and commitment of those who have come before. Bowls Auckland acknowledges and extends a sincere thank you to Alison Rennie, Neville Hill, and Bev Crowe for their valued service and contribution in previous seasons.
