Foundation's Purpose

The Foundation’s Authorised Purpose
The BAF exists to support initiatives that:

  • Improve bowling facilities (through upgrades or new installations)
  • Foster the development and leadership of people involved in bowls — including players, coaches, umpires, greenkeepers, volunteers, and administrators
  • Reduce barriers to participation, especially for people who might otherwise miss out, such as those with disabilities, rangatahi (youth), and older adults
  • Promote physical and mental wellbeing through bowls and related activity

Capital Fund
The BAF is committed to building a strong capital fund. The goal is to generate an annual investment return that will benefit the game of bowls long into the future.
