Card Payments Now Available for Bowlshub Entries
17 December 2025

With the continued updates and innovations within the Bowlshub system, we are pleased to confirm a new and more convenient way to pay event entry fees through Bowlshub.

Players can now complete credit and debit card payments directly at the point of entry, making the process quicker, simpler, and secure. This enhancement is part of ongoing improvements to Bowlshub and is effective immediately, ahead of events scheduled for 2026.

What’s Changed?

Previously, entries were submitted without payment, with fees paid later via online banking. While workable, this approach created delays and required manual reconciliation. We now have a fully integrated payment solution in place.

Card payments are processed securely through Pin Payments, a third-party merchant provider. A small service fee applies to cover transaction and platform costs. These fees support continued system development and improvements that benefit both players and administrators.

Card Payment Fees (applied to card payments only)

  • 2% + $0.28 NZD – Merchant fee charged by Pin Payments
  • 2% – Platform fee retained by MemberPoint (Bowlshub’s software provider)

Players may continue to pay via online banking for the remainder of the current calendar season. If the payment portal is closed without payment, the entry will be recorded as Tentative and updated to Secured once payment is received. Manual payments are reconciled weekly.

Clubs wishing to be invoiced can follow the same process and request an invoice via [email protected].

Important Conditions

  • All entries must be paid by the event closing date.
  • Unpaid entries will not be included in the draw.
  • Late or unpaid entries may only be accepted at the controlling body’s discretion.

This update improves efficiency, security, and convenience, while supporting the continued modernisation of Bowlshub for the wider bowls community.
