Bowls Auckland is delighted to announce its Premier and Development representative squads for the 2026 Octagonal Challenge, to be played on 14–15 February 2026.

Auckland will field both men’s and women’s teams across the two competitions, taking on strong opposition from Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau, North Harbour, Thames Valley, Northland and Waikato.

The Development Octagonal will be hosted by Bowls North Harbour at Browns Bay Bowling Club, while Bowls Auckland will host the Premier at Howick Bowling Club.

Women’s Head Selector Trish Croot acknowledged the challenge of final selection. “Team selection is never easy. Those selected have shown their capabilities not only through commitment and hard work but also through proven performance and results. They have shown they deserve this opportunity.”

Fellow selector Ian Fisher highlighted the depth within the region. “With some players unavailable for this fixture, it has opened up new opportunities. That’s exciting for us as selectors and for the players, as they find their way. They’ll be testing themselves against some formidable opposition.”
