PBA Auckland is Back for 2025!
The Professional Bowls Association (PBA) returns in 2025 — your chance to stay sharp over the winter months and earn the opportunity to represent New Zealand at World Bowls Tour events in the UK.
Membership & Entries are open now, entries for events are open until Thursday midnight prior to the weekend of the events with the draws being released 3:00 PM Friday.

How Does It Work?
PBA runs a compact series of six events, including:
- Four regional qualifiers for the National Finals in Tauranga, Sept 5–7, 2025, which progress onto the world finals hosted in the UK.
- Two Ranking Singles events — these are warm-up matches but also count toward your PBA Ranking.
Ranking points are awarded based on your finishing position in each event. The more entries, the more rounds you play — and the more points you can earn.
- Current season points earn a x5 multiplier
- Last season’s points count with a x4 multiplier
Consistent performance across both seasons is key to breaking into the top ranks.

What Are the Events?
All events are straight knockout and set play format:
- Two sets of 9 ends
- Three-end tiebreak if required
Auckland 2025 Schedule:
- July 12 (Sat): World Indoor Singles Qualifier (New Lynn)
- July 13 (Sun): World Indoor Pairs Qualifier (Royal Oak)
- July 26: Ranking Singles Event (New Lynn)
- Aug 27: UK Singles Qualifier (Royal Oak)
- Aug 2: Ranking Singles Event (New Lynn)
- Aug 3: Scottish Singles Qualifier (Royal Oak)
How to Enter
These events are run by the national PBA body, Brendon Walton has been appointed Auckland Convenor and will use his Bowls Auckland experience to deliver a seamless season.
Register Using the “Become a Member” Button
- $195 for full membership (covers all 6 events)
- $150 if you’re a first-time member or refer a friend
Once registered, you’ll receive your PBA Membership.
PBA will send through the details to the convenor and we will add you to our “PBA- Auckland” Club in Bowlshub.
This grants access to enter PBA Auckland events on BowlsHub.
Use the buttons top left to quick link to Bowlshub to enter events and see results portal.
Note – You will be required to enter events using your “PBA Club”
You will not be able to enter events unless you have been added as a dual member into a PBA Club on Bowlshub
