Emerging Players and Coaches Programme – Launching This October!
Bowls Auckland is excited to announce the launch of the Emerging Players and Coaches Programme (EPAC), a brand-new initiative designed to nurture the next wave of talent in our bowls community.
The objective of EPAC is simple but powerful – to provide opportunities for emerging players and coaches to develop, grow, and reach their maximum potential. By building pathways for both athletes and coaches, the programme aims to strengthen the future of bowls in Auckland.

Programme Format
Each session will focus on a specific theme, such as shot selection and practice, strategy and tactics, head building and head reading, and game planning. Sessions will use the Teaching Games For Understanding (TGFU) approach, encouraging learning through innovation, problem-solving, and fun.
Participants will also have opportunities for Q&A discussions, feedback, and even a chance to win small prizes along the way.
This is an optional, flexible programme – players and coaches are welcome to attend one, two, or all three sessions. Sessions are capped at 48 players per session. If proven demand, more sessions will be introduced.
If you’re looking to take your game or your coaching to the next level, this is the perfect opportunity to learn, grow, and connect.
