Bowls Auckland is delighted to announce the wider training squads for the Men’s and Women’s Premier and Development teams, along with the 1–5 Year squads, for the 2026-27 representative season.
The squads feature an exciting mix of established performers and emerging talent, with a number of players making the step up from the 1–5 Year programme last season into Development. This progression is an important part of the Bowls Auckland performance pathway and reflects the depth of talent developing across the Centre.
The squads will now enter their respective training programmes under the guidance of their Team Management groups. Sean Hird will lead the Men’s programme, Trish Croot the Women’s programme, while Brendon Walton and Robyn Reihana will lead the 1–5 Year Men’s and Women’s programmes respectively.
The first representative fixture of the season will take place on 10–11 October, with the teams competing in a Quad Tournament.
Importantly, the wider training squads will remain open throughout the season. Players may be added at any time, providing an opportunity for performances to be recognised and ensuring Centre success remains an important measure of selection.
Teams for the October Quad Tournament will be selected and announced later this month.
With a clear pathway from emerging player through to Premier level, the 2026-27 season provides opportunity for players across the Centre to perform, progress and represent Auckland.
Congratulations to all players selected in the squads!
