Bowls Auckland’s Women’s Open Singles returns on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, bringing together the nation’s most talented wāhine for two days of high-quality, high-pressure singles action. Open to women from all World Bowls-affiliated clubs, the tournament offers players the chance to test themselves against new opposition, compete in a premier tournament environment and chase one of the biggest individual titles in the country.

Singles is bowls in its purest form; there is nowhere to hide and no teammate waiting to rescue the end. Every tactical decision, conversion attempt, drive and draw rests with the player holding the bowl. Across two demanding days, competitors will need accuracy, patience and the ability to respond when momentum shifts. One bowl can change an end. One end can change a match. One match could open the door to the title.

Whether you are an established representative, a rising talent or a club player ready to challenge yourself on a bigger stage, the Women’s Open Singles provides an opportunity to step forward and see how far your game can take you.

More than a title on the line

A total prize pool of $3,200 will be contested across the weekend. The tournament champion will take home $1,500, but beyond the prize money sits something even more valuable: the chance to become the 2026 Women’s Open Singles champion and add your name amongst some of the greatest women’s bowlers in the country.

Take your place

Play begins at 8:30am each day. Day one sees players compete in sections of four to advance to the elimination bracket. With the bye round being played Saturday afternoon, the final 16 return on Sunday to compete for glory.

Entries are $50 per player and must be completed through BowlsHub. Entries close on Sunday 30 August 2026, unless the tournament reaches its 96-player capacity earlier.
