The 2025–26 representative season is officially underway, with Bowls Auckland proud to announce the first 1–5 Year playing side of the season. This talented group features returning squad members from previous seasons alongside three debutants in the men’s side, all ready to wear Auckland’s uniform with pride.
This early-season fixture on 4 October provides a valuable opportunity for the squad to test themselves against quality opposition and to refine combinations as they build towards pinnacle events later in the season, including the Battle of the Bridge and the Octagonal.
Selectors Robyn Reihana, Brendon Walton, and Les Smith noted how challenging this year’s selections were. With several players moving up to Development plus five advancing while still eligible for 1-5s, the call was made for the squad to step up… and they did. The high standard across the entire squad made final decisions incredibly tough.
